Over the last 40-or-so years, communities both large and small, across the U.S., have organized Messiah sings.  Sometimes called a Messiah sing-in, or Messiah sing-along, these sings have become increasingly popular and are a fun way to usher in the holiday season. Often accompanied by piano or organ, the Berkshire Bach Society’s Messiah Sing stands out in that the singers are accompanied by an instrumental ensemble.  And who are the singers?  You are, that’s who.   The audience becomes the chorus.  Bring your own score, or borrow one from us.   The setting is informal.   Whether you an experienced choral singer, an avid listener, or the occasional Messiah enthusiast, here’s your chance to join your friends and neighbors in song.  Be part of a tradition that sees some 2800 participants in the New York Messiah Sing (at Lincoln Center), and nearly 4000 singers at the Albert Hall in London.  Too shy to sing?  Come and listen. Either way, you’ll have a blast.   –Frank Nemhauser
